Johnson Wholesale Floors was founded by Donald J. Johnson in Atlanta, Georgia, May 1963.  Beginning with one warehouse and only one product line, VCT tile, Mr. Johnson and sales representative Andy Deaton started the business by calling on dealers throughout the state of Georgia. Johnson Wholesale Floors, Inc. is now a premiere hard surface full-line distributor offering product lines of wood, vinyl, tile, and other flooring accessories. With five stocking locations: Atlanta, Georgia;  Birmingham,  Alabama;  Knoxville, Tennessee;  Jacksonville,  Florida and Orlando,  Florida, the company now services dealers in four southeastern states.

The company’s mission is “to bring the best possible products to market at competitive prices with exceptional service provided by both the outside and inside sales teams and then deliver these products to dealers on company trucks in a timely manner” (President, Melinda McChesney). Thus, the company continues to grow by offering customers old-fashioned “people-to- people” service with 21st century high-tech flair.
